HAITIAN AMERICANS UNITED FOR PROGRESS AT WORK
Haiti earthquake aid, or army occupation – Al Jazeera TV reports – spsyed investigates…
Haiti earthquake aid, or USA army occupation – Al Jazeera TV reports Sunday 17 January 2010. Every country that richer than Haiti is trying to help, but only American government is sending armed occupation forces to build more bases, and never pull out. Karachi-based charity worker, Abdul Sattar Edhi, pledged cash as former US president George Bush ordered. Food rots and cash disappears without traceable accountability. Pakistan has also pledged to send others relief items. Other Muslim and Arab countries are sending cash or kind. Most countries are helping in any way they can, a lot more than what six billion people see, hear or read in the anti-Muslim media. Many Muslim-Arab states and charities gave America billions dollars after the recent, Katrina, hurricane. Many other Muslim countries provided aid relief, including: Indonesia, Turkey, Iran, Morocco, Jordan, Islam Relief USA/UK, Muslim Aid, etc. But, by a remarkable coincident, Muslims countries, where USA imposed and sustained despots, and has occupation army, have donated almost nothing!!! Haitian prime minister Jean-Max Bellerive said he does not understand why so much water and food in storage facilities at the airport is still not being distributed. Bellerive expressed his frustration, on Wed 27 Jan 2010, with security decisions made by the US occupation army that are hindering the earthquake relief effort. “Haitians don’t care about the security, they just want the water, food and medicine to get to them …

1000 Sri Lankan soldiers support Haitian relief -2010/01/10
Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakesa said on Jan. 15 in his message to President of Haiti Ren Garcia Prval, “As a nation that was touched by a tragedy of similar magnitude five years ago, Sri Lanka can understand and feel the pain of your sorrow.” Rajapakesa added that “I have been informed that the UN peacekeeping battalion from Sri Lanka is fully involved in the rescue efforts. Sri Lanka associates itself with the international community’s efforts to support the people of Haiti at this hour of devastation.” Sri Lanka has deployed at the request of the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti, a contingent of about 1000 personnel drawn from the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Police Service. PHOTOS sent from the earthquake-hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti speak more words than mere images of the humanitarian roles, being played by Sri Lankan troops serving UN Peace Keeping assignments in Haiti as emergency aid is trickling through to victims on Haitian streets. Sri Lankan troopers while providing basic food, water and medicine to affected victims are still busy evacuating and rescuing trapped civilians under the rubble of collapsed buildings in Port-au-Prince. Though Sri Lankan soldiers are supported by other aid workers and relief troops from foreign countries, our troopers have been giving their assistance to bury decomposing bodies, dispatch of victims to nearest hospitals, transport of the victims to the makeshift shelters, etc. Meanwhile, an AFP report filled in Port-au-Prince …
