Haitian Children Sing, Pray in Tent Villages

One week after the earthquake that destroyed much of Port-au-Prince, many people are still sleeping outside in open spaces. Some fear another earthquake. Others do it in solidarity with the people who lost their homes. As the sun begins to set, many break out in song and prayer. voa’s Jeff Swicord visited the Racine family in the neighborhood of Butte Boyer as they prepared to sleep out under the stars. This is their story in sight and sound.
