You keep saying that Jesus calls u this, prepares you that, gives u life, and so on, but what does Ogu give(malanduye)? Everything that you have said about Jesus and you is questionable and intangible and thus disprovable. Claiming that Jesus give u something and Ogu gives nothing while the argument is about u Christians imposing your system and faith on the Vodouisants is begging the question. Think.
Vodou is a sociopolitical & economic “way of life” that has served the dark-skinned peoples(various nations in the big continent) of the world for thousands & thousands of yrs. This isn’t to say that that way of life does not have its upcomings and shortcomings, but that it has sustained and continues to sustains its adherents today. The question is why do Christians feel such an entitlement to the world that somehow they have the right to impose & demonize all other non-christian ways of life.

To correct the Haitian use of these terms, is to imply that they are somehow wrong. Haitians say “Nago” and call Ogun by the name “Papa Ogou”. The system has evolved in Haiti…these Haitians are no longer in Yoruba land, so don’t expect them to speak “proper” Yoruba.
